About CP Company
CP Company was founded in 1971 by Italian designer Massimo Osti. The brand, formerly known as Chester Perry, had to change its name after a legal issue.
Originally a graphic designer, Massimo brought a fresh and unique style to his clothing line. He came up with creative promotions for retailers, such as handing out toy cars and posters with eye-catching graphics. This playful approach gave the brand its own identity and made it instantly recognizable.
From the first designs, Massimo experimented with new techniques. He applied printing methods that were normally only used for paper, such as photocopiers, screen printing and the four-colour process. This gave his designs a unique appearance.
In 1973 he began an innovative process that became known as 'Garment Dyed'. This technique involves dyeing a garment at the end of the production process. The result is a deeper, more intense colour and an improved structure of the fabric. This process became the brand's signature and contributed to its popularity.
In 1978, the name officially changed to CP Company, which strengthened the brand's position in the fashion world. Over the years, CP Company has been praised for its original vision.
Massimo and his team took inspiration from classic, military and workwear. They gave these traditional elements a new twist by incorporating them into contemporary collections. This makes the brand's style both recognizable and innovative, which resonates with a wide audience.
